Why don't I enter my travel date when booking?
Well spotted! As soon as you have booked your trip, you will receive a questionnaire from us. In this questionnaire you indicate when you want to travel.
We will then get to work for you and book the cabins. The further in advance you book, the greater the chance that you can experience your mountain adventure on exactly the dates you want.
Our mountain adventures take place in July, August and the first half of September. Do you want to go out in June or the second half of September? Send an email to support@shefeelsaliveinthemountains.com and we will see what is possible!
What is included?
Meet in the mountains arranges the following for you:
- A beautiful route both in text and in a GPX file. The online platform explains how you can use this GPX file on your phone.
- A 'bad weather route'. Unfortunately, there is no button in the mountains that allows us to turn off the bad weather, but what we can do is think in advance about what to do if bad weather is forecast!
- A 'I still have energy left' route. Every day we give suggestions on how you can make your mountain adventure more challenging! Because that's what you come for, adventure!
- Sleep in shared rooms in beautiful mountain huts on a half-board basis.
- Access to the online platform where you can refresh all your mountain knowledge. Here we also explain which apps you can use to make a good estimate of the weather, for example.
- Discount codes for buying your new gear, food for the mountains and more.
- A welcome package that contains at least a map of the region and the 'safely into the mountains tickets' we developed. We'll keep what else is in it a secret for now :)!
- Access to the inspiration community for optimal anticipation
- A forum where you can ask your questions and get answers from our mountain hiking guides
Any questions? Please send an email to support@shefeelsaliveinthemountains.com

How do I know if this tour is suitable for me?
Because we assume that you already have experience with mountain hiking, we have included the distances, altitude meters and difficulty level in the tour description. Based on this information you can judge for yourself whether this tour is suitable for you! :) If you secretly have no idea what all those terms mean, it might be wiser to first set off with a mountain hiking guide. Such a guide will teach you everything about estimating distances, altitude meters and more. Look here for our guided trips.
Why am I receiving an email from The Huddle?
We use the online platform 'The Huddle'. You will automatically be registered for this if you take a tour with us. Here you will find all the information for your mountain adventure
Before I book I would like to know in which cabins I sleep
Understandable. On our website we do not share this specific information before booking, but we will be happy to make it available once you have booked. Why? We have noticed that many people simply copy the routes of other hut tour providers based on the huts in which they want to spend the night. They then rely entirely on navigation apps to create the route for them. This may sound smart in theory, but the app doesn't take into account the hiker's individual abilities and can even send them along difficult trails without them expecting it.
That is why Meet in the Mountains has decided to also offer individual tours. Our mountain hiking guide, Nicky, came across too many people who had picked routes from the internet, without thinking about whether this was a suitable route for them. That is why we have set up an information platform where we offer different route options every day, including a map with drawn routes. In this way we want to ensure that everyone can enjoy the mountains in a safe way.
We encourage you to consider your abilities and experience when choosing a route so you can get the most out of it without taking unnecessary risks.
