Feel alive on the trails

Tuxer Alps Individual Trailrunning Hut to Hut Tour

Tuxer Alps Individual Trailrunning Hut to Hut Tour

Welcome to a trail running adventure that takes you from the iconic Patscherkofel through the breathtaking Tux Alps, along the enchanting Zirbenweg, to a series of beautiful mountain huts. Prepare for a tour full of untouched nature, challenging trails and the excitement of independent trail running, all without a guide.

The Trailrunning Tour from Patscherkofel to the Tux Alps:

Your adventure begins at the Patscherkofel parking lot, with the majestic western Tux Alps lying at your feet as the playground for the next days. From here you choose whether to run uphill or grab the gondola uphill and run flowy flat along the famous Zirbenweg, surrounded by the distinctive scent of pine trees and accompanied by a view that gets better around every corner. It's a visual feast as you race to the first mountain hut, your luggage being transported to this cozy retreat in the meanwhile.

After a recovery night in the first mountain hut, where the mountains are your lullaby, you trek deeper into the Tux Alps. You will cross a beautiful ridge where you may need to reduce your speed slightly because it is challenging terrain with an incredibly impressive mountain panorama. The trail takes you along winding paths, over mountain streams and through rocky areas above tree line. As you eat up the miles, you'll feel the thrill of discovering unspoiled pockets of nature, guided only by the rhythm of your own footsteps.

And then, as a reward for your trail efforts, you reach the next mountain hut, far away from civilization. Here, high among the mountains, you can enjoy the serene tranquility and the golden glow of the setting sun on the alpine peaks.

But the best is yet to come. You continue your trail adventure to the ultimate gem of a mountain hut. Surrounded by impressive mountain peaks and with views of valleys far below you, you will feel the majesty of nature in all its glory. This is where your journey ends, with a sense of accomplishment and a backpack full of memories of an unparalleled trailrunning experience.

So, put on your trail running shoes, feel the fresh mountain air and let the Tux Alps be your guide on this unforgettable tour, where every bend reveals a new adventure.

We enjoy the most beautiful views and take a break here and there until we arrive at the next hut. Here you can freshen up, if you feel like you can do an extra round of training afterwards or you can choose to relax, read a book and enjoy the delicious food at the hut. Afterwards we do an instructed stretching session together to calm down our minds and do good to our muscles.
