    The first day of this unforgettable adventure takes you into the mountains with a full backpack, on your way to a remote mountain hut where you will stay for the next three nights. Once away from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by the silence of nature, you will experience the magic of snowshoeing at its best. Your footsteps glide softly through the fresh snow, and the only sounds you hear are the crunching of the snow under your feet and the whistling of the fresh mountain wind.

    In the mountain hut, simple but comfortable, you share multiple rooms with fellow adventurers. Here you will experience the hospitality of the mountain hut owner and share stories of the day as you prepare for the next day.

    Level of the tour

    This tour is suitable for people who enjoy walking 15-20 km and have no difficulty carrying a backpack of 6-10 kg.

    Where do we eat & sleep?

    In a beautiful mountain hut in the middle of nowhere. In this mountain hut there is a nice bed ready for you and we get a delicious breakfast & dinner every day.

    What happens to my luggage?

    On day 1 we go up with backpacks and all. We walk to the mountain hut in 3-4 hours. On days 2 and 3 you only have to take the 'daily' luggage with you and on day 4 we walk down again with the entire backpack.

    What should I take with me?

    We will give you a packing list with everything on it, but the most important things are:

    • Waterproof jacket & trousers
    • High mountain hiking boots
    • 30-45 liter backpack with straps on the outside for your snowshoes
    • Sticks
    • Underwear for under the jacket & trousers
    • Sheet bag

    What are snowshoes?

    Snowshoes are like tennis rackets under your shoes so you don't sink into the snow. Don't have this? Then we will arrange that for you!

    What is the avalanche trinity?

    This is an avalanche beacon, a probe and a shovel. This is mandatory for insurance reasons.

    How do I know if I am a member of a mountain sports club?

    Maybe you know the NKBV, the Dutch climbing and mountaineering association! If you are a member, you will receive a discount on this trip. The same applies to the German DAV and Austrian OAV

    This late in March, is there enough snow?

    The hut where we sleep is at 1800 meters, so that means that snow is guaranteed. The advantage of March is that there are many more hours of sunshine, so who knows, maybe after the tour your colleagues will ask which tropical island you went to because you got a tan.

    In which language is the tour guided?

    We speak Dutch, German & English and adapt the language to the group.
