Hut tour & Climbing of Austria's Highest Mountain: the Grossglockner 3,798m

Do you want to combine your passion for photography with adventurous hiking in the mountains? Then I invite you to my mountain & photography trip in Austria. From a beautiful mountain hut located high on the mountain you have a beautiful view of the mountains and the rising sun... there can hardly be a better start to the day. After a delicious breakfast it is time to hit the road. Armed with a camera in hand, we discover the most beautiful places in the region while walking. Not only that, you will also learn everything about photography in the mountains: from the exposure triangle to lighting and lens filters. WOW, it is so beautiful here. With your camera you take breathtaking after breathtaking view. After the hike we return to the mountain hut for a hot meal. But we're not done for today yet! In the evening we will edit our photos together in Lightroom, so that they are immediately 'photo book ready'. You will crawl into bed with beautiful memories and beautiful photos. 

Photography in the mountains

Photography in the mountains is not as easy as it seems. The grand, impressive mountain landscapes are rarely captured well. The image does not correspond nearly to reality. Recognizable? A huge shame, of course, because you want to capture your memories in an unforgettable way. 

We are going to change that. During the mountain & photography trip you will learn how I shoot my professional photos: from landscapes to spontaneous portraits. We will play with the lighting triangle, light and lens filters, among other things. 

Who is this photo tour for? 

This trip is suitable for anyone who would like to learn more about taking nature photos in the mountains. And I don't mean with your smartphone, but with a professional camera. In addition, you must be in good health, so that you can take a mountain walk between 7-15 km without any problems.

Camera setup recommended:

• Camera body
• Prime lens (e.g. 50mm 1.8)
• Lens with a relatively wide angle for landscapes

What are they going to do?

During the mountain & photography trip we stay in a nice mountain hut. From here we take an adventurous mountain walk of 7-15 km every day. During the day you will learn everything about photography in the mountains, in the evening I will take you through the editing process.

The mountain hut is located at 1800 meters so we can enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets! You sleep in a basic double room and the bathroom is shared with the rest of the people in the hut. NB! We sleep in a real mountain hut 🏔️! This mountain hut is near the Achensee, so if you want to add a few more days, you can enjoy the beautiful Achensee.

Your mountain hiking guide and photographer 

If you travel with me, you sign up for one big adventure with a young, enthusiastic mountain hiking guide. In the mountains I experience again and again how powerful and beautiful nature is. ' What peace, what excitement, I'm alive!'. Every morning I jump out of bed with pleasure to share this wonderful feeling with others. 

Add photography to that and you have a total package. I have years of experience with family, bridal and adventure photography. It is therefore not surprising that I always travel with a camera. You can regularly find me in the bushes, on the ground or behind a rock: anything for that authentic, adventurous photo! With a sparkle in my eyes, energy for 10 and a dose of positivity, I am eager to take you on an adventure!

My photo style can be described as 'happy moody'. I will fully introduce you to this style: from the basic edits in Lightroom, to local edits and my unique workflow. You will also receive my personal presets, so you can edit your photos in the same style.
